Why is this hike easy?

It’s actually not necessary to hike at all to access the beach.  From the parking area to the beach is a very short jaunt through sand to the water. Any longer hikes, bikes and walks are really just activities to add to a fun day and much of the road from Swasey’s Beach to Green River is relatively flat.
